The Noosa Everglades and so much more…

Noosa is connected by loads of waterways. Main beach is stunning and you can easily spend a day in Noosa National Park, where you can find koalas in the wild. If you are driving up with your own transportation make sure you stop in Sippy downs for the Dutch Bake house. Lots of yumminess here but please eat a kroket burger!

My recommendations

  • Noosa Everglades day or overnight trip.
  • Rent a boat/ jet ski or catamaran and explore Noosa’s waterways yourself.
  • Sunset cruise with Bring Your Own Alcohol.
  • Australia Zoo.
  • Optional: depart from here to Fraser Island

The fastest growing city in Australia

This is the fastest growing city in Australia, with a lot of students. I love the fact that there is a free ferry system to cross the river. Unfortunately, this city does not have a beach, but you can go to Southbank (next to the river) for free and enjoy the lagoon.

My recommendations

  • Moreton Island.
  • XXXX Brewery tour.
  • Lone Pine koala sanctuary.
  • Instructed rock climbing, paddle boarding and kayaking.
  • Campervan/car hire.

Fun parks & koala cuddles!

As soon as you get closer to the Gold Coast region, the mountain areas are changing to high buildings. The area is famous for beautiful beaches and a lot of fun! You can go to Wet and Wild water park, Dream World, Sea World and Warner Brothers Movie World. When in Queensland, you have the option to hold a koala! You can find just over the border the cutest wildlife park called Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, where you can find all Australian animals.

My recommendations

  • Any hostel or hotel you fancy.
  • Theme parks.
  • Currumbin Wildlife Park.
  • Whale watching (May until October).
  • Bike hire.
  • Surf lessons or board hire.
  • Stradbroke Island, the 3rd biggest sand island in Australia.
